A Year of Innovation and Growth
2026 has been an incredible year for the Hull Robotics Society. From exciting project launches to memorable social events, we’ve had plenty to celebrate.
Projects in Progress
This year we’ve been working on several ambitious projects:
- Baxter Robot Development - Continuing to expand Baxter’s capabilities with new arm segments and enhanced programming
- Dalek Project - Recent upgrades to our mobile frame and electronics systems, with our Dalek exploring the campus and starring in plenty of photo shoots
- OSRC Controller - Building a sophisticated controller system with custom hardware and software
- Pepper Robot Development - Experimenting with and making use of Pepper’s features, allowing us to undertake interesting new adventures
Events & Screenings
We’ve also had great fun with our film screening series, bringing the society together for movie nights featuring classics like The Lord of the Rings and Wall-E.
Looking Forward
As we move into the second half of 2026, we’re excited about what’s ahead. Stay tuned for updates on our projects and upcoming events!
Keep building, keep learning, and keep innovating!
